　検索と言えば、パソコンのハードディスクに溜っていくファイルもしかり。キーワードを与えると全文検索してくれる機能もあるが、現れた複数の候補ファイルのどれが本命なのか？
　そんな悩みを解決するために、実験ノートと研究業績リストを電子化してみた。後者は各業績毎に関連するファイルへのリンクを埋め込んだものである。これが結構使えることが分かり、予期せぬご利益も授かった。そのあらましをご紹介する。

The key is to enhance the searchability of related documents previously written by the author and stored in a PC.  It is achieved by employing a hypertext list of the author's achievements, each item of which includes links to related files and web sites.  Such a list was constructed with the aid of reference management software (BIBTeX) and a scripting language (Ruby).  Automatic incorporation in the author's home page makes it easy to disseminate the author's achievements.

since Nov. 2008 is presented.  Top two downloads during the past three
years are postprints submitted for subscription-based peer-reviewed
journals.  The values of about 1500 must be the result of being accessed
by readers beyond my specialty including researchers of social science.
In addition, disclosure of research-related video clips on YouTube was
effective in attracting non-specialists attention.  In order to activate
researchers' self-archiving activities, the system should provide them
with attractive feedbacks and functions making their daily tasks easy
including time-series analysis of download statistics and manuscript
writing support.
